The 15-acre campus in beautiful rural Meriwether County, GA, boasts three academic buildings plus an outdoor classroom and children’s garden. Up to date technology and science labs are well used and fine arts facilities for art, music, and drama are part of the daily curriculum. In the lower grades, reading enjoyment and mastery is a priority with students’ in the Accelerated Reader program scoring in the top percentile nationally. Students in middle grades through high school enjoy foreign language classes led by a fluent, native instructor.
Athletic facilities include a gymnasium, football, softball, baseball and practice fields, weight room, and a track which hosts regional events. Physical education includes lively, daily structured gym classes with kick boxing and archery offered, as well as fencing.
An extended day program and summer athletic activities, fine arts, and leadership camps, further enrich the educational experience for our students. The strong academic foundation nurtured at FRA promotes a positive self-image, and, we have found, encourages leadership, caring, and success.
