Palisades Episcopal School, Charlotte, NC – Celebrating 10 years!
Be Inspired. Be Challenged. Be Active. Be Known.
Ten years ago, a group of visionaries came together to create the best school they could imagine. They envisioned a Christ-centered school that would instill values, inspire creativity and develop individuality in its students. They dreamed of an environment where children’s innate enthusiasm for learning would be nurtured and cultivated so it could serve them for a lifetime. They envisioned graduates who would excel academically and be able to connect their heads to their hearts. They envisioned Palisades Episcopal School (PES).
Today, at 10 years old, PES is a thriving community of 190 JK – 8 grade students who receive a PES experience full of exceptional academics, competitive athletics, unbounded experiential and service learning opportunities, awe inspiring arts, and scholarship opportunities – all led by excellent and passionate teachers. And new this year, PES is one of the only schools in the Charlotte area to offer equestrian.
As a liberal arts, neo-classical institution, PES offers students opportunities for integrated study by seamlessly weaving together scientific, cultural, historical, and literary investigations. With mastery of skills as the goal, rather than just memorization of facts, a PES student is provided time to think, discuss, process and apply their knowledge, which in turn promotes intellectual curiosity and creates lifelong learners. Intimate class sizes and low teacher-student ratios, allow for differentiated instruction across every grade. Service integration helps students develop citizenship skills and fosters values of integrity, courage, responsibility, compassion, and hard work. PES students graduate with a strong mind, a strong character, and a lifelong love of learning. They matriculate into the area’s top high schools where they are the campus leaders.
