ABOUT THE RETREAT:
Risk type has an enormous impact on the leadership decisions we make – and fail to make. Utilizing a risk assessment indicator called the Risk Type Compass (RTC), Dr. Korrel Kanoy from Developmental Associates will lead you and your leadership team through real-life scenarios to illustrate how risk can produce false limitations. She will help us understand how risk profile predicts decision-making behavior in different areas that impact the school. We will also examine how to appreciate the benefits of all types of risk profiles on a leadership team, to ensure the team does not become too cautious or too adventurous in its decision making.
The 2017 SAIS Heads Leadership Retreat is designed for your entire leadership team. Assessment profiles are included for each participant (see sample below) in order to understand the influence of various risk profiles on the team’s decision making tendencies.
RTC - RISK TYPE COMPASS:
The Risk Type Compass (RTC) personality assessment focuses on differences in the way individuals perceive, react to, and manage risk, as well as how they make decisions. Based on extensive psychological research, it places individuals in one of eight distinctive risk types, providing insights that have important implications for individuals, teams, and the organization as a whole.
While risk management has previously focused on procedures, regulation, and legislation, the RTC uniquely assesses the risk-taking nature of individuals. By identifying critical individual differences in risk appetite, organizations can maximize potential and balance the contributions of risk-takers as well as more risk-averse individuals.
The individual RTC is included with your registration fee.
