Let me thank you again for agreeing to serve on our SAIS accreditation team for SCHOOL NAME.  At this time you should have jumped into the SAIS Accreditation Portal and begun reading through the materials. The training page for team members including a video and instructions is located at

We are charged with the responsibility to determine whether or not the school should be recommended for accreditation. At my pre-visit, I was able to review most or all of the school’s responses to standards and have found them to be in compliance or working towards full compliance.  On our visit, we will spend some time spot-checking on the school’s standards, but the majority of the time on reviewing their self-study and plans for growth.  We will seek out areas for commendations and recommendations. The process will be organized with each team member having specific responsibilities.  During our orientation, I will work the team through this process.  If I do my job as chair, I promise that this will be a great and rewarding experience for each of you.

SCHOOL NAME is an outstanding school and you will quickly see its strengths. Our task is to identify these strengths and identify areas the school should improve. The leadership has worked hard in preparation for our upcoming visit. Our goal is always about school improvement.
