ABOUT THE WEBINAR:

Every independent school should have an ample endowment to carry it through tough times. The best way to initiate an endowment is through planned giving. Recent survey results show that one of the head’s most significant financial challenges is raising endowment. Results also reveal that many schools do not have a planned giving program in place.

Join SAIS and Linda McNay, Ph.D., of Our Fundraising Search, for a webinar on planned giving and endowments on Thursday, September 28, at 4:00 PM EST. Linda will share simple steps to begin a successful planned giving program and will offer suggestions on how to enhance current planned giving efforts. Regardless of fundraising experience, participants will gain new insight on the many facets of development. Communication, cultivating prospects, and how to make the best use of a development committee will be shared with an opportunity to ask questions and learn how to grow the endowment at your school.

Linda McNay, Ph.D.

Linda Wise McNay, Ph.D., is an independent fundraising consultant with Our Fundraising Search in Atlanta. She has served more than 125 clients over the past 12 years. Linda’s nonprofit background includes work with both higher and secondary education, the arts, human services, and faith-based organizations. Her professional experience includes work in capital campaigns, annual fund, planned giving, membership and development, and executive searches. Linda previously served as the director of advancement for Pace Academy in Atlanta. While there, she led the school’s largest and most successful capital fundraising campaign, reaching their goal ahead of schedule, under budget, and with 95% parent participation plus 100% board, faculty, and staff participation. She is the author of Fundraising for Schools: 8 Keys to Success Every Head of School Should Know.
