Overview of Costs Associated with the SAIS Accreditation Process

ANNUAL DUES

Annual membership dues are based on the school's operating budget: Click here for the dues chart.

ACCREDITATION FEE

   (every 5 years)

$750 accreditation fee payable with the request for participation (RFP).

WORKSHOP FEE

   (every 5 years)

The school is required to either host an on-site accreditation workshop at a cost of $600 or send at least one representative to a regional accreditation workshop at a cost of $100 per person, plus travel.

VISIT-RELATED EXPENSES

   (every 5 years)
  • Pre-Visit: The chair visits the school for one day approximately 6 months prior to the team visit. At this preliminary visit, the chair will review the school’s compliance with the standards. The travel expenses for the chair are the responsibility of the school.
  • Team Visit: The visiting team (typically 5 members, including the chair) will visit your campus for 3 days/2 nights. The school being visited is responsible for all travel expenses for the visiting team.
