STANDARD 1: Vision and Purpose

The school establishes and communicates a shared purpose and direction for improving the performance of students and the effectiveness of the school.

SAIS Indicators for Independent Schools

SAIS schools demonstrate that they are mission-driven and committed to creating an environment of learning and continuous improvement by meeting these indicators. They are broken into four sections: Operational Policies, Governance and Head of School, Faculty and Students, Self Study and School Report.  All SAIS indicators must be fully met for accreditation consideration. 

 

NOTE: These fifteen indicators were crafted as part of intiial work in revising the SAIS indicators.
