A place to grow.” The tagline that Chattanooga Christian School (CCS) adopted shortly after its inception in 1970 accurately describes every aspect of the thriving CCS community. Not only has the 70-acre campus grown with a new strength and conditioning building, lower school building, five state-of-the-art science labs and a makerspace/fabrication lab in the high school, and an open-air pavilion for student use, but the curricular and co-curricular programs have also expanded to meet the needs and interests of our growing and diverse student body. With 1,270 students in PreK-12th grade and 137 faculty and administration, CCS is the largest Christian school in the Chattanooga area with a strong tradition of partnering with Christian families to prepare students to lead and serve with distinction while representing Christ and seeking his Kingdom in all areas of the home, church, society, and culture.

A place to learn.

CCS is committed to serving students with excellence by providing rigorous programs and unique opportunities that match their diverse needs and interests. The high school curriculum has added honors, AP, and dual enrollment courses as well as STEM courses. Students’ ACT scores have risen, and 86 percent of our students score a 3 or higher on AP exams. The lower school embeds movement throughout the day with flexible seating in classrooms and recess and P.E. every day. The exceptional education program that spans the lower, middle, and high school is expanding with more paraprofessionals and tutors to serve students with various needs and disabilities. Such programs and classes enable faculty to meet every student at their particular point of need and help them reach the peak of their potential. The robust curriculum includes excellent art classes: theater students produce award-winning musicals, photography, and art students win local and state competitions, and choirs regularly receive superior ratings at festivals.

A place to flourish.

We believe that every CCS student should find a place to connect relationally and develop their distinct talents. Co-curricular opportunities are designed to support this dual priority. From coding, dance, Spanish, and sign language clubs in the lower school; to chess, improv, and book clubs in the middle school; to surfing, robotics, and Junior State of America clubs in the high school, students find opportunities to improve their individuals skills, expand their ability to work collaboratively, and display their work to broader audiences. A large, competitive athletics program that regularly secures district, region, and state championships rounds out the co-curricular offerings. Such a broad offering of clubs and teams provides a place for each student to experience community outside of the classroom.
