Admiral Farragut Academy is a private, college-prep, boarding, and day school which serves students in PreK-12th grade and is located in St. Petersburg, FL. Our upper school, which starts in 8th grade, is known worldwide for its boarding program and Naval Science program’s military structure. Farragut offers signature academic programs including aviation, scuba, marine science, naval science, sailing, and leadership. Our students create a foundation hard to find anywhere else.

Every year, students earn more than $5 million in athletic and academic scholarships and attend universities like Stanford, Miami, and UCLA. Our students also receive nominations to the Naval Academy, Military Academy, and Air Force Academy. Our boarding students are ready for college because they have lived in a culturally diverse environment and have become independent by being away from home.

Farragut has a longstanding tradition of building leaders who will impact the world. In fact, two of the 12 men who walked on the moon graduated from Farragut (Alan Shepard ‘41 and Charlie Duke ‘53). Our students live with a purpose in mind — to build a foundation of greatness.

With students from around the world, the country, and several local towns and neighborhoods, we take pride in what our global community on campus is all about. While we do our best to build leaders in each and every one of our students, we do just as much to develop a family-type atmosphere where everyone supports each other.

Farragut offers more than just an education. It’s an experience, a journey, a launch point for life.
