Holy Spirit Preparatory School is a remarkable school among the many good independent schools in the Atlanta market. The young but accomplished school is one of the few independent Catholic schools in the Atlanta metro area. Serving students from 6 months old through 12th grade, it is ideal for families. Holy Spirit Prep was named a U.S. Blue Ribbon School in 2009. Its high school has been consistently named one of the top Catholic high schools in the country by the Catholic Education Honor Roll.

Perhaps most remarkable is its investment in the joy of its students. Holy Spirit Prep delivers the courageous athletics, the rigorous academics, and the faithful service families expect from an independent school, and does so brilliantly. More than just forming the whole child, though, the school aims to see its students become magnanimous young men and women prepared for a lifetime of happiness. It accomplishes this with an emphasis on three virtues: faith, prudence, and magnanimity.

First, HSP wants its students to have a deep and abiding faith in God’s blessings and love for them.

Second, the school wants its students to exercise prudence – the ability to make good decisions for the rest of their lives – by obtaining a rigorous academic foundation, accompanied by the use of their own powers of reason.

Finally, we want them to embody magnanimity – a greatness of character and of soul such that they may go through life with a spirit of courage, a spirit of joy, a spirit of kindness, and a spirit of generosity.

Because we maintain a smaller enrollment than many independent schools, HSP finds the right place for each student — channeling them to the right club, the right gifted classes, the right team —and the right college fit after HSP. This school is all about personalized learning, small class sizes, and forming students in “heart, mind, body, and soul” in a family of faith and learning.
